Flashing her abs in workout gear as well as a slouchy striped jumper, she said keeping up with her male counterparts while filming Mockingjay: Part 2, was important to her.

Adding: ‘Especially when I’d been playing Margaery Tyrell for the six months previously – sitting around, talking machinations in a silk skirt.

‘Then there I was two months later, dressed in army fatigues, with a half shaved head, running around with a gun with some of the most virile young men you can hope to find on the screen.’

Natalie famously completed a marathon in 2014 and she told the publication the experience put things into perspective for her.

She said: ‘If you’ve run 26.3 miles, you go, “Holy f***, my body can do that! That’s amazing!” So it puts this superficial thing of, “Oh, I wish my waist was an inch slimmer’ into perspective.”‘

She also touched upon never really feeling confident when it comes to filming raunchy scenes in movies.

‘Anyone who says they’re laid-back about sex scenes is a fibber!’ she said.

‘It never gets any less… not traumatic, that’s the wrong word, not embarrassing… it can be a bit awkward.

‘The choreography of a sex scenes is so unsexy and unglamorous, it’s all about camera angles, you have to recreate the moment so many times. It’s just timing and technical.’
